Bible Mahjong: Scripture Support

Help for Bible Mahjong: Scripture on iPhone.

On your iPhone the app is named Bible Mahjong.

Playing

How do I start a game?

On the Home screen, tap Play, then tap a board. Only First Light is open at the start. If you have a game in progress, the Home screen also shows Continue.

How do I match tiles?

Tap a free tile, then tap another free tile with the same symbol. Both are removed. Clear every tile to finish the board. The in-app How to Play screen, on the Home screen, shows this with pictures.

What is a free tile?

A tile is free when nothing is on top of it and its left or right side is open. Only free tiles can be matched. If you tap a tile that is not free, it shakes and stays where it is.

What does Hint do?

Hint highlights one pair you can match. The highlight lasts a few seconds or until your next tap.

What does Shuffle do?

Shuffle rearranges the tiles that are left so you can keep going. If no matches are left, the game tells you and offers Shuffle or Restart. You cannot lose a game for good.

What does Restart do?

Restart asks you to confirm, then starts the same board over from the beginning. Your progress on that game is lost.

What does Pause do?

Pause hides the board and stops the timer. Tap Resume to continue.

How are moves counted?

Each time you tap two tiles as a pair, it counts as one move, whether or not they match. Par is the number of pairs on the board.

Progress

Is my game saved?

Yes. One game in progress is saved on your iPhone. You can leave the app and pick it up later with Continue. If you start a new game on a different board, the app asks first, because the saved game is replaced.

How do I unlock boards?

Clear a board to unlock the next one. The order is First Light, The Ark, Jacob's Ladder, The Well, Jericho, and Mount Sinai. You can replay any board you have unlocked.

What are best time and best moves?

For each board, the app keeps your fastest time and your fewest moves. They are shown on the Boards screen.

Where is my progress stored?

Only on your iPhone. It is not sent to us. Deleting the app removes your progress, your saved game, and your best results from that iPhone, so do not delete the app if you want to keep them.

Settings

Open Settings with the gear button on the Home screen.

Show timer

Turn this off to hide the timer while you play. Your time is still recorded.

Haptics

Turn this off to stop the vibration feedback.

Accessibility

  • With VoiceOver on, each tile is read by its name, such as Dove or Lamp, along with whether it is free or blocked. VoiceOver also says when a tile is selected, and announces a hint.
  • The app supports Larger Text.
  • The app follows your iPhone's light or dark appearance.
  • Gameplay information does not rely on color alone.
